Samsung Galaxy Tab S11, Ultra feature Dimensity 9400+

Samsung has officially released the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, introducing the latest iteration of its premium Android tablet series. The updated lineup features a streamlined standard model and an enhanced Ultra version characterized by a larger display and reduced profile.

The standard Galaxy Tab S11 effectively replaces the previous Plus model, which has been discontinued. It provides similar performance capabilities within a more compact design. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra sets itself apart with its expansive 14.6-inch display. This panel is both thinner and lighter than the 14-inch display featured on the preceding model, maintaining a high refresh rate of 120 Hz and high resolution.

Internally, both the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra are equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor, an enhanced version of the Dimensity 9400. Manufacturing on a 3nm process, this chip provides a reported 24% increase in CPU performance and a 27% improvement in GPU capabilities. Powering these tablets are different battery configurations. The Galaxy Tab S11 is supplied with an 8,400 mAh battery, while the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra contains a higher capacity 11,600 mAh battery unit. Both models support fast charging up to 45W.

The camera systems have undergone revisions. The Galaxy Tab S11 features a single 13 MP sensor on the rear, complemented by a 12 MP ultra-wide front camera. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra retains the 13 MP rear sensor but now includes a single 12 MP ultra-wide front camera, removing the dual-camera setup used on the previous iteration. The rear camera configuration remains consistent across both models, incorporating a 13 MP primary sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor.

Software enhancements include an upgraded DeX mode, now supporting four independent workspaces and multi-screen setups. A new floating AI overlay has been added, along with improvements to One UI 8, which is based on Android 15. These enhancements include Galaxy AI features designed to assist with writing, drawing, and audio summarization. The SPen for both the S11 and Ultra has been redesigned with a hexagonal button and offered with an optional magnetic charging case. These tablets both feature an IP68 rating and support microSD card expansion up to 2 TB.

The Galaxy Tab S11 is priced starting at $799 for the 128 GB configuration, while the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra starts at $1,199. Prices increase with higher storage capacities. The new tablets are available for purchase in regions where the previous S10 FE models are currently in stock while awaiting next-year refreshes.
