Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Senior Pastor and Founder of Kingsway International Christian Centre has debunked claims by another popular televangelist, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy, that the current COVID-19 global pandemic is linked to the 5G technology and the Anti-Christ.
In short video posted online, Ashimolowo described as fake news any claims of links between the 5G network with spiritual things and Coronavirus epidemic.
“It’s fake news to associate 5G to coronavirus,” he said.
Ashimolowo, while acknowledging that the Anti-Christ would indeed come as foretold by the Bible, disagreed with Oyakhilome’s claims, insisting that there is indeed a global pandemic killing people and it has nothing to do with the latest 5G network.
A clip of the video is posted Twitter by Wale Gates, a United Kingdom-based Nigerian via his handle, @walegates:
Recall that Pastor Chris had in a sermon last week, shocked the world when he claimed, with the aid of diagrams on large screen, that the 5G was part of attempts by the Anti-Christ to establish a New World Order (NWO) and that the COVID-19 is the virus meant to create fear that will drive people to embrace his rule.
Gates had earlier posted clips of Pastor Oyakhilome’s teaching on the connection between COVID-19 and the 5G network on his handle.

According to the Bible, at the End Time, Jesus will rapture away Christians from the world and will all unbelievers behind while the Anti-Christ, an entity who derives its power from Satan, will set up a new world order where Satan must be worshipped by all.
The Bible also reveals that adherents of the Anti-Christ will be made to receive the Mark of the Beast popularly called 666 on their foreheads and arms, and that those who refuse, will find it hard to carry out any economic activity and would eventually be captured tortured to death.
Ashimolowo, however, warned Christians not to promote conspiracy theories about the coronavirus, questioning why the virus was present even in villages with no 5G network.
He said: “If coronavirus is caused by 5G, why is it in his village that does not have a 5G?”
He added that the current conspiracy theory about the pandemic was an attempt by some church leaders to control their followers with fear:
“It has always been the nature of Christian leaders to plant fear in their members whenever there was going to be a major world occurrence,” he said.
He enjoined the Church to focus on being ready for the second coming of the Lord Jesus instead of attacking technological breakthroughs like the 5G.
He said: “The church should be more concerned about preparing their members for the Second Coming of the Lord instead of condemning a major technological breakthrough.
